Caroline Frenette has placed small American flags in each of her neighbors’ yards. This is the fourth year that she has donated the flags and said she does it as a courtesy to her neighbors. Frenette pays for all the flags and places them herself. She said she has people ask her year after year if she plans to do it again.
“All the neighbors just love it,” Frenette said.
Laurel resident Carolyn Pratt said she appreciates Frenette’s donation while Pratt’s neighbor Lisa Hanley said, “It’s very patriotic. It makes me remember our warriors.”
The flags are mostly in the Heritage subdivision, but some extend into Laurel along Thatcher Road and Carter Street.
