TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The women’s basketball team has announced the dates for its inaugural Community Caravan. In an effort to give back to the local community, the team will be volunteering at local schools, hospitals and non-profit organizations as well as attending events on campus.
“We are so excited about our upcoming season on the court and are equally excited about taking time to give back to a community that means so much to our program,” said head coach Kristy Curry. Our student athletes are excited to reach out and impact our community in a number of ways this fall.”
The Crimson Tide will make its first stop on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Rise School in Tuscaloosa, which is a program designed to serve young children with physical disabilities from birth to five years of age. The team will also assist with Habitat for Humanity, the Miracle League of Tuscaloosa and the veterans honor flight. On campus, the team will take part in the Health Fair, visit Lakeside Dining and Fresh Food, Co. and assist with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Halloween Party. Additional events are listed below and more may be added throughout the season.
