THE MATCHUP
Alabama will look to build on the foundation it put down a year ago, climbing from the bottom of the Southeastern Conference standings to a tie for sixth place in the league. Along the way the Crimson Tide enjoyed some big wins, including at No. 9 Kentucky, 57-55, for the program’s first victory in Lexington since 2002 and first road W against a top-10 team since 1998 as well as its first win in program history at Vanderbilt. Alabama also closed the regular season with a 78-60 victory over No. 23 LSU, its first win against the Tigers since 2002.

North Alabama returns four starters who together averaged 11.2 points per game last season. The Lions finished with a 15-13 record last year and finished fifth in the Gulf South Conference. (more…)
